Kremlin comments on Putin’s readiness for phone talks and Europe’s response

Russia’s presidential aide Yuri Ushakov said that during Vladimir Putin’s international phone calls, the Russian president answered his counterparts’ questions politely and in detail.

Postxronika.az reports, citing TASS, that Ushakov said he did not expect a tough reaction from Europe to a phone call held on Tuesday between Russian President Vladimir Putin, Finnish President Alexander Stubb, and Norway’s Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

According to Ushakov, Moscow considers the trilateral format of talks between Russia, the United States and Ukraine sufficient and views Washington’s role as mediator in a positive light.
