Lavrov accuses Western media of blaming Russia for drone attacks
NQ
Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has said baseless accusations against Russia are being voiced in Western media over the appearance of unidentified drones in Europe.
Postxronika.az reports, citing TASS, that Lavrov made these remarks while speaking at the "Dialogue on Fakes 4.0" forum, saying that in some cases the drones belonged to Ukraine or their origin was never established.
According to him, such reports are dropped from the media agenda after being widely circulated for a few days. Lavrov claimed that in some cases this information is used as a pretext to expel Russian diplomats and close consulates and cultural centers.
The minister said the West's information policy obstructs the dissemination of alternative information about specific events. The forum is being held at Russia's National Center and has more than 2,000 participants from 80 countries.
