Bus routes in various directions are being put up for competition

To improve the quality of passenger transport services, a number of intra-city, suburban and intercity bus routes covering Baku, Sumgait and the regions are being put up for competition.
Postxronika.az reports that routes have been submitted for the competition, including Baku city routes numbered 166, 194, 505 and 506, Sumgait’s route 10V, as well as intercity routes such as Baku–Imishli, Baku–Siyazan, Baku–Aghjabadi, Baku–Aghdam, Baku–Kurdamir and other intercity directions. Documents will be accepted until 17:00 on November 5, 2026. Bids from applicants will be reviewed on November 20, 24 and 27 for intercity directions, and on December 1 for other routes. In the competition, in addition to the main buses, it is required to provide reserve vehicles as well. The Balakan–Sumgait route is planned to operate on a day-to-day basis.
