NATO does not plan to blockade Kaliningrad

NATO Military Committee chairman Giuseppe Cavo Dragone said the alliance has no intention of blockading Russia’s Kaliningrad region.
Postxronika.az reports, citing TASS, that Dragone, in an interview with the newspaper “La Repubblica,” stressed that information about a possible blockade involving Kaliningrad is unfounded.
He said that NATO is not looking for confrontation, but has sufficient military capabilities to prevent any potential aggression and respond to it promptly. According to Dragone, although the situation on the alliance’s eastern flank is serious, it is under control.
Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that if there were to be a direct attack on the country, in particular on the Kaliningrad region, the issue of using all weapons available to the Russian armed forces would be immediately raised.
