Russia condemns the US arrest decision against Raúl Castro

Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs has sharply condemned the arrest decision issued in the United States against Cuba’s former leader Raúl Castro.
Postxronika.az reports, citing TASS, that the ministry linked the decision to unsubstantiated allegations and described it as an act of retaliation by anti-Cuba lobby groups in Miami.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said that, with regard to events that took place in 1996, the UN Security Council resolution does not require any individual to be held personally responsible.
The ministry also warned that increasing pressure on Cuba could undermine stability in Latin America and the Caribbean, and could lead to a migration crisis in neighboring countries.
