Russia and Ukraine agree on a ceasefire in Alyoshki

Russia and Ukraine have agreed on a local ceasefire in Alyoshki, Kherson region, to take effect from October 29.

Postxronika.az reports with reference to TASS that this was announced by the White House.

It was stated that the purpose of the agreement is to ensure delivery of humanitarian aid to the area and to enable the evacuation of the civilian population along a safe route.

According to the White House, an independent U.S. media organization will monitor and document the actions of both sides during the ceasefire. Melania Trump also took part in determining the terms of the agreement and in the process of reaching an understanding between the parties.
