Zelensky says allies were not given advance warning of air strikes

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that his allies received no advance notice about the latest ballistic missile strike carried out by Russia. As a result of intensive air strikes involving 16 ballistic missiles and more than 200 unmanned aerial vehicles against Kyiv and surrounding regions, four people were killed and more than half a million homes were left without power. The head of state also stressed that serious delays had occurred in the delivery by the United States of air defense systems and essential military supplies.
Postxronika.az reports, citing Reuters, that U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio denied claims that intelligence data sharing had been partially halted. Air Force officials said they are investigating the reasons for a malfunction that developed in the warning system together with partner countries. The Kyiv administration has expressed concern over the slowing down at working level of political agreements on air defense systems.
Strikes on critical infrastructure facilities create serious difficulties for Ukraine’s energy system in the run-up to the colder months. Delays in military supplies and interruptions in intelligence support increase the risk of weakening defensive capabilities along the front line. The prompt support of Western partners plays a decisive role in ensuring the safety of civilians in conflict zones.
