EU debt will reach 1 trillion euros by 2027

It is expected that the EU’s overall debt as an organization will reach 1 trillion euros by the end of 2027 and that this figure will be more than 500% of the institution’s budget.
Postxronika.az reports, citing TASS, that the president of the European Court of Auditors, Tony Murphy, said this in an interview with the “Rapporteur” portal.
According to him, financial pressure on the EU budget is increasing. Murphy likened the situation to a pot under pressure. It should be noted that the stated debt refers to the EU’s debt as an organization and does not cover the total debt of member states.
