Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada has supported extending martial law for another 90 days. Under the decision, the regime will remain in effect until January 29, 2027.
Postxronika.az reports, citing TASS, that 293 deputies voted in favor of the decision. This is the 21st decision of the Ukrainian parliament regarding the extension of martial law.
Martial law and general mobilization were introduced in Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Because of the continued implementation of martial law and mobilization measures, no parliamentary, presidential or local elections are being held in the country.
