Strict food safety control at the World Judo Championship
RH
The Azerbaijan Republic Food Safety Agency is taking strict measures to ensure food safety during the judo World Championship held in Baku. The agency’s 17 staff members conduct continuous monitoring at the sports complex where the event is organized and in the hotels where participants are staying. Specialists closely oversee the processes of storing and preparing vegetables and other products, as well as compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards.
Postxronika.az reports with reference to the Food Safety Agency (AQTA) that, through special samples taken from food products, laboratory tests are carried out by experts. At the same time, relevant preventive recommendations and instructions are provided to the staff of catering facilities serving participants. The safety agency continues similar monitoring activities at all international and large-scale events held in our country.
The prompt measures taken are aimed at reliably protecting the health of foreign athletes and spectators. A high-level control mechanism creates favorable conditions for the smooth and internationally standards-compliant organization of the championship. Relevant agencies state that food safety indicators at mass events will remain under constant attention.
