Russian President Vladimir Putin approved proposals by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin regarding staffing changes in the government.
Postxronika.az reports, citing TASS, that Kremlin press secretary Dmitry Peskov said this at a briefing.
According to him, the necessary procedures regarding the appointment of new candidates to the government will begin in parliament. Peskov noted that personnel rotation in the government is a normal process and that Mishustin put forward the initiative to make changes to ensure the cabinet’s efficient operation.
He also said that, with a view to better coordination of financial discipline, Anton Siluanov’s candidacy for the post of deputy prime minister—finance minister—has been put forward.
