Macron criticizes Trump's Gaza peace plan

French President Emmanuel Macron has criticized US President Donald Trump's statements about securing peace in Gaza.

Postxronika.az reports, citing Reuters, that Macron said in his address to the UN General Assembly that no humanitarian corridor has been opened in Gaza, and that the declared peace has therefore produced no real result.

The French leader objected to Trump presenting his Gaza peace plan as a diplomatic success, accusing the world of remaining inactive in the face of the situation in Gaza. Macron also stressed the importance of recognition of Palestine being accompanied by practical steps amid the humanitarian crisis in the region.
