Trump administration prepares sanctions against the International Criminal Court
NQ
US President Donald Trump's administration has prepared sanctions against the International Criminal Court, which are planned to be announced soon.
Postxronika.az reports, citing Reuters, that two sources familiar with the matter provided this information.
According to the report, Washington had previously imposed sanctions against a number of judges and prosecutors in an effort to weaken the court's activities. US officials want the court to withdraw its arrest warrants against Israeli leaders and halt its earlier investigation into US servicemembers in Afghanistan.
It is reported that targeting the court and the bodies cooperating with it as a whole could seriously affect its operations.
