Experts from the Food Safety Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan carried out an unscheduled inspection at the food market belonging to the “Khatai” Trade Center located on Khatai Street in the city of Siyazan. During the inspection, facts were revealed indicating that the requirements of technical regulatory legal acts in the field of food safety were violated at the trading facility. In order to eliminate the identified shortcomings in a short time, relevant instructions whose implementation is mandatory were issued to the management of the market.
Referring to the AQTA, Postxronika.az reports that, as violations of the rules were found, an administrative protocol was drawn up in accordance with the legislation against the responsible entrepreneur. Agency staff continue control measures aimed at protecting consumers’ rights and preventing the sale of substandard products. In trade centers operating in the regions, particular attention is paid to compliance with sanitary and hygienic standards.
Strengthening oversight of the storage and sales conditions of food products serves to ensure reliable protection of public health. Specialists recommend that trade entities organize their activities fully in line with the requirements of the legislation. Similar preventive raids are carried out regularly in other cities and districts of the country as well.
